Where has the week gone?

Well I have been so busy with daycare and what not....The Food Program peole came today and I have been waiting since last week for them to come.... :( So they finally came today!! And I passed it seems!! Yay me!! I have been crafting and sewing my heart out but unfortuntely with no camera:( I can't even show you what I have been making... But today I made up a batch of Laundry Detergent and Fabric Softener..... I think the fabric softener might last forever...It makes a huge batch!!!! I also made some detergent for my mil...and maybe my mommy too... She doesn't like powder so I am going to make up some liquid type this weekend If I remember to get a 5 gallon bucket.... Oh and oven cleaner... Its time to clean the oven too.... I have also been makin up some cinn-a-minis....thanks to one of my fellow bloggers who shared this recipe I have been dying to have!!! I love the smell... I added a little pumpkin spice and cinnamon and they look good enough to eat!!!!
Oh and today I got a lovely pay-it foward gift today... I will take a picture of it and post it hopefully tom.. I am going to borrow a friends camera tonight so I will post all the pictures later!!!
I am alos looking for a few good recipes..kids and DH tired of eating the same things... And I like the tried and true recipes personally!!! So I have about 5 lbs of hamburger in the freezer...so feel free email me some recipes... I know ya got some!!!!
Love thy neighbor!!

I keep saying I'm going to try making my own laundry detergent, but haven't done it yet. It sounds like you've been quite busy! My SIL owns a daycare and I know all about the waiting on the food program stuff....it gets stressing at times on her! She just moved into a building that gives her an over 100 capacity of children!

Hey Scoti! You are on the ball! Wish I could say that. I seem to just be on the never ending cycle of housework!

So, we always have lots of hamburger and chicken. You should check out this site by Kraft foods:

http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf

You can type in what you have in your pantry, and it will pull up all of the recipes containing those ingredients. It's awesome and I am always finding new things to make. Hope this helps and to chat soon!

Scoti,
It is so nice to meet you. I just came from your mom's blog. You have a great blog, don't know how you do it all. I have a goulash (don't know if I am spelling that right) recipe for you if you are interested. I can add it hear or email you with it. Would you mind sharing your recipe for your laundry soap? Does it work great?
Thanks a million, drop by and say hello,
Cheryl

Scoti,
Good for you for making all your own detergents! I had to start making natural cleaning solutions because of my asthma. The stuff you buy at the stores was killing me slowly. The natural stuff I make cleans just as well and doesn't have a "fake" smell to it.

The way I use hamburger is to fry 3lbs of it up. Add a big jar of Prego Italian sauce to it (that you get at Costco 4lb 3oz) Add a can or two of green beans to that. Put that mixture in a casserole dish (A big one) Make up some mashed potatos while you were fying the hamburger. Spread mashed potatoes on top of burger/sauce mixture cover with foil/bake 350 for 20 minutes. Take foil off add tons of Tillamook shredded cheddar cheese put back in over till cheese is all melted and yummy! My family loves this and it is gluten free.
If you prefer you can add Campbells tomato soup instead of Prego but that has gluten in it and my family loves the Prego better!
